ZipCam Systems will introduce ZipHead in the 1st Quarter of 2010. ZipHeadSM weighs less than10 lbs, mounts to any standard mitchell plate, accommodate a payload of up to 30 lbs, and provides wireless pan & tilt functionality. Power for the ZipHead, camera and accessories can be provided from the ZipCam, a 24v power source, or from the ZipPack (a dual v-lock power pack that mounts between the ZipHead and its support - coming later in 2010).

ZipHead expands the 35mm camera options for ZipCamSM systems. ZipHead will support the Arri 235, 435, & LT cameras - configured with either 200' or 400' magazines, and will also support other 35mm camera systems whose total weight does not exceed 30 lbs (camera, lens, mag, film, accessories).

Because 16mm film and Super16 continue to be a viable option for commercials, feature films and television shows, ZipCam's soon-to-be-released ZipHead will also accommodate many 16 mm camera packages (if total package payload does not exceed 30 pounds); for example Arri's 416, as well as Aaton's a-minima, LTR, XTR & Xtera.
